The course starts near V C Bird International Airport on the Atlantic Ocean side of the island. You will be able to feel the cool ocean breeze blowing across your face at the starting line in all the excitement as the race about to begin.
Except for a few slight elevations to give you a challenge, the course is basically flat. You will go from the Atlantic Ocean to the Caribbean Sea and be able to look out at sea as you run. You will pass by the American University of Antigua, (Medical School) through Hodges Bay , then into Cedar Grove. Runners will then have the opportunity to run through St. John’s, the capital of Antigua, passing through local markets and past historic sites. The finish line is at beautiful Fort James Beach on the Caribbean Sea, where you can run right into the ocean! How’s that for a post-race cool down?
