The Marathon du Trans Penang is a unique endurance race that traverses Penang Island from south to north, covering 41.76 kilometers and a total elevation gain of 1,632 meters. Starting at Country Home and Cafe in Gertak Sanggul and finishing at Faizal Homestay in Tanjung Bungah, the course is designed to showcase a blend of Penang’s scenic trails and roads—approximately 40% trail and 60% road. This event invites participants to experience some of the island’s well-loved paths, combining natural landscapes with iconic local landmarks such as Bukit Genting and the Balik Pulau roti seller mural. The race allows a generous 14-hour cutoff, encouraging runners of varying abilities to complete the journey. With a strong focus on community engagement and adventure, the Marathon du Trans Penang is fast becoming a significant event for both local and visiting endurance enthusiasts.

Entry fees are non-refundable, non-transferable and non-deferrable.
Mandatory items
1) One working headlamps/torch lights with sufficient spare batteries. It is the runner's responsibility to have the headlamps/torch lights during the dark hours. 2) Blinking Lights 3) Water bottles or hydration bag with a minimum capacity of 1 litre 4) Emergency blanket; 5) Whistle; 6) Mobile phone; (gear checks will be carried out on all runners before the race starts, and spot checks may be carried out along the route during the race, including the top 5 runners of every categories)
