The inaugural 2024 Yueqing Half Marathon was a spectacular event that left a lasting impression on runners from across the country. Praised for its top-tier organization, expertly designed course, and unique energy stations, the marathon quickly gained an outstanding reputation within the running community.
As March reached its peak, Yueqing's 2,000-acre rapeseed fields burst into full bloom, transforming the modern urban-rural landscape into a breathtaking sea of golden hues—each blossom a masterpiece of nature’s artistry. Adding to the event’s charm, heartfelt intangible cultural heritage (ICH) support stations made their debut. From lively drum performances to the graceful dances of the She ethnic group, these cultural showcases reflected the warmth and hospitality of Yueqing, solidifying its reputation as the “City of Happiness.”
The marathon also featured a vibrant ICH marketplace, offering a wide array of creative cultural products and immersive heritage experiences. These interactive displays served as a bridge to Yueqing’s rich cultural legacy, captivating both participants and spectators alike.
