The West Yorkshire Trail Run provides runners with a unique chance to experience the scenic beauty of an historic 18th-century estate. Set in over 100 acres, the route offers a journey through lush woodlands, landscaped gardens, and tranquil lakeside paths. The course leads participants along the wooded Wall Side Plantation and up to Sugar Hill, offering expansive views of the estate. Runners pass close to sites made famous by local television productions, adding a cultural highlight to the event. A notable feature of the route is the section by Eccup Reservoir, the largest body of water in West Yorkshire, where the landscape is rich in wildlife and rare birdlife. Runners continue through Carr Plantation and Piper Wood, both known for their majestic trees and vibrant plant life, before returning past the estate’s serene lake. Upon finishing, all participants receive a commemorative medal and a finish line prize, celebrating their achievement. Combining natural beauty, history, and a rewarding challenge, the Harewood House Half Marathon stands out as a memorable running experience.

You will collect your running bib number on arrival at the event.
Can I change the distance after I purchase a ticket?
Yes, you can drop your distance. You can even do this on the day of the event. All you need to do is notify a member of our team before you set off or, if you do this at the course split, please make sure to let a member of our team know at the end of your run. Yes, you are more than welcome to upgrade your distance. Prices may vary depending on what you are switching to. You can do this on the day of the event.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
Entry fees are non-refundable. Up to 2 weeks before the event you can transfer your entry to another runner. This will incur a £7.50 charge (per person). Up to 10 days before the event you can transfer your entry to another event. This will incur a £7.50 charge (per person).
