Join VOLCAT Igualada MTB (Barcelona) 2026
The VolCAT will take place once again during Easter week, from April 3rd to 4th. It is one of the most iconic mountain bike competitions, and for over twenty years thousands of enthusiasts have proudly worn the VolCAT race number. An emblem of pure mountain biking, it showcases the endless possibilities of a landscape designed for pure enjoyment on a bike.
The trails will once again take center stage in three intense days. The first stage will cover 45 kilometers and will be a UCI XCO C3 category race, while the second will be 65 kilometers long and also a UCI XCO C3 category race. Participants can register for one of the two stages or for both days.
The VolCAT is defined as an event with two souls. The competitive spirit of the race shares space with the fun aspect. Thus, participants can choose different ways to experience the race. The non-competitive VolCAT is also ready and will warmly welcome all those who want to cycle without the pressure of competition. This is the OPEN format, ideal for those who want to experience the VolCAT as an adventure. The unique cycling atmosphere will delight all participants. Igualada's Parc Central will become the epicenter of the event. VolCAT will once again offer a motorhome area, activities for children, and other special surprises.
Course details
IGUALADA-CARME-IGUALADA
DISTANCE | 45 km
The pure MTB stage, old-school mountain biking with non-stop ups and downs, trails, singletrack, rocks, roots, and tons of fun. Technique, bike positioning, and a good waist are key to conquering this amazing route through the Carme mountain range at a good pace, leaving you with a great taste of the VolCAT Experience!
STAGE 2
IGUALADA – TOUS – IGUALADA
DISTANCE: 65 km
The magic of Territorio Panna returns, the ultimate flow territory, with a brand-new route through spectacularly beautiful landscapes like the Torrent de l'Infiern. The first part is a rolling ride from Igualada to Sant Martí de Tous, leading to the first team aid station. From there, it's a non-stop series of fast singletracks through shady pine and holm oak forests, where riders will need to be attentive to maintain the high pace this terrain allows. On the return to Igualada, you'll need to conserve energy to ride fast on the tracks that will take you to the finish line!
