Gamla Uppsala: The Viking graveyard, a reminder of Sweden's ancient history. Uppsala Castle: Starting and finishing at this 1549 landmark adds a regal touch to the race. Lake Ekoln and Fyrisån: Offering serene and scenic natural beauty along the way. City Center: A vibrant mix of historic and modern Uppsala, full of energy and cheering spectators.Additionally, participants can choose between the full marathon, half marathon, or relay, making the event accessible for runners of all levels. Course details
The race has a start and finish at Uppsala Castle and passes scenic areas and historical environments as well as central Uppsala where there are many people. The route goes via the banks of Ekoln and Fyrisån, through central Uppsala and out towards the Vikings' holy place, the mounds in old Uppsala. A fast one-lap track that combines the running experience with the best of Uppsala.
Half Marathon
Just like the marathon and the relay, the half marathon has a start and finish at Uppsala Castle. You run the same distance as the marathon and the relay runners' second half of the race. Via the pedestrian street in central Uppsala with maximum public contact further towards Svartbäcken and the northern banks of Fyrisån towards the Vikings' holy place, the mounds in old Uppsala - a stretch that combines the running experience with the best of Uppsala.
