The Khong by UTMC is a wild and challenging mountain trail race set in the breathtaking landscapes of Chiang Dao. With distances ranging from 16km to 180km, runners navigate misty valleys, dense forests, flowing rivers, and rugged mountain paths, making this a true test of endurance. The course is certified by ITRA with Mountain Level points and UTMB Index, attracting both elite and aspiring trail runners. Backed by strong local and volunteer support, this race blends adventure with cultural immersion, offering an unforgettable experience deep in northern Thailand’s wilderness.
Located in Muang Khong, Chiang Dao, this remote paradise is surrounded by towering limestone peaks, pristine forests, and traditional villages. The region, home to Doi Chiang Dao, Thailand’s third-highest mountain, offers stunning sunrise viewpoints and untouched trails. Just a three-hour drive from Chiang Mai City, transport options include private cars, rental vans, and public minibusses, making it easily accessible while still feeling like an escape into nature.

Can someone collect my race pack for me?
The race bib collection must be carried out by the runners themselves only.
Can I change the distance after I purchase a ticket?
Bib transfer or registration change until 31 August 2025 or until full, fee 200 baht.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
