The St. Moritz Running Festival offers an unforgettable experience in the breathtaking Engadine region. The festival route takes you through stunning natural scenery, including mountain lakes, colorful flower meadows, and shaded larch forests, all set against the backdrop of majestic mountain peaks.
After crossing the finish line, the celebration continues at the Festival Village by Lake St. Moritz. Enjoy a vibrant program featuring DJs, workshops, yoga sessions, and delicious regional specialties from local food stalls. With race options of 6 km, 12 km, and 25 km, there’s something for everyone, whether you're a beginner or an experienced runner. Plus, if your training didn’t go as planned, you can easily switch to a shorter distance, ensuring you still have the chance to participate and enjoy the event.
Course details
The Engadin Summer Run is a breathtaking running event through the picturesque landscape of the Engadin. It attracts with its unique combination of sporting challenge and the natural beauty of the surroundings. The starting point is in Sils, from where the route leads over 25.5 km (+365 m/-401 m) through impressive landscapes to the finish area of the St. Moritz Running Festival in St. Moritz Bad. The run winds along the largest lakes in the Upper Engadin, the Inn, and through magnificent larch forests. It is a unique event in the midst of alpine splendor that not only awakens the ambition of the participants, but also creates an unforgettable connection to nature.
Run Pontresina 12.2 Km
The Pontresina Run entices with a unique atmosphere through the surrounding larch forests and its route ensures an unforgettable running experience. With this run, the St. Moritz Running Festival offers a shortened but equally attractive alternative to the Engadin Summer Run. On a challenging route of 12.2 kilometers and an elevation difference of 220 meters, the run stretches from Pontresina through the picturesque Val Roseg to Punt Muragl. The route leads through the idyllic Stazerwald to finally end in the finish area of the Running Festival in St. Moritz Bad.

Experience a new race from Silvaplana to St. Moritz! Whether you are looking for a short sprint, a race for the whole family or want to take your first steps in running, this year an exciting 6-kilometer course awaits you on part of the legendary Engadin summer running route. Discover the new route that takes you along four picturesque lakes and enjoy the breathtaking panorama of our enchanting region.

How do I get to the race location?
ENGADIN SUMMER RUN: Take bus lines 2, 4 and 6 to Sils/Segl Maria Posta or bus lines 2 and 4 to Sils/Segl Maria Biblioteca. RUN PONTRESINA: Take bus lines 1 and 2 to Pontresina Rondo or bus lines 1 and 2 to Pontresina Punt Ota Sur.
What is the cancelation/refund policy for this event?
You can transfer your starting place to the following year without any significant reason up to 1 month before the race. If you are unable to participate due to an accident or illness, you can request a credit for your entry fee for the following year by submitting a medical certificate to the organizer (NO Refund available). Re-registration can be done before the event date.
