Join Morocco Backyard Ultra 2026
Created by Lazarus Lake, the organizer of the famous and legendary Barkley Marathons in Tennessee, the principle is very simple:
The course is a 6.706 km loop.
Every hour, the admitted runners will start the loop, which they must complete repeatedly, always within a 60-minute time limit, until only one runner remains.
If you finish the loop before the hour mark, you can rest while waiting for the start of the next loop. For example: if you finish the first loop in 45 minutes, you have 15 minutes before the next start. If you finish the loop in 58 minutes, you will only have 2 minutes of rest before the next start.
The goal is simple: complete as many loops as possible within the time limit.
The winner is the last person remaining on the course. They must complete only one loop alone.

What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
- In the event of cancellation/postponement of the edition to a later date by force majeure; all participants are transferred to the new date. If the new date does not suit you, you can request a refund of the registration fee (less transaction fees). - In the event of withdrawal we offer a partial refund (excluding fees) depending on the date of your cancellation: * 3+ months before - get 100% * 2-3 months before - 50% * 1-2 months before you get 25% * No refund in the last month.
Mandatory equipment
- Chair. - Blanket. - Food and hydration drinks. - Headlamp with spare battery. - Prohibited: All forms of artificial aids (including walking sticks).
