Much like the renowned wine that brought international acclaim to the region, the Douro Granfondo has flourished and transformed, becoming a quintessential experience for cycling enthusiasts. This event is not to be missed, as it offers a fresh perspective on the magnificent Douro.
Participants will embark on routes predominantly north of the Douro River, encompassing the host municipality of Régua as well as Vila Real, Sabrosa, and Alijó. For those tackling the "queen" distance, the path extends into Tabuaço, promising a unique adventure in the heart of Cima Corgo. This area, one of the three sub-regions of Alto Douro Vinhateiro, boasts distinctive landscapes, particularly within the wine-growing areas.
In this breathtaking scenery, famously cherished by Miguel Torga, cyclists will conquer the challenging ascents of Vila Seca (11 km at 4.4%), Donelo (4.5 km at 7.6%), and Covas do Douro (1.5 km at 9.7%). The 2025 Douro Granfondo promises an unparalleled opportunity to explore the rich, inexhaustible beauty of the Douro. When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
On May 10th between 10am and 7:30pm On May 11th from 7am to 8:30am It is located on Av. do Douro in the Douro Rio Café car park next to the departure point.
What is the cancellation/refund policy for this event?
After payment has been made, in case of withdrawal until April 11, 2025, the participant can recover 50% of the registration fee. After this date, registration is considered final.
