The Beijing Huairou 100 Mountain Running Race is a premier trail running event set in the mountainous landscapes of Huairou District, Beijing. Starting from the Yanqi Lake International Convention and Exhibition Center, the race leads runners deep into the heart of northern Beijing’s rugged terrain. The 100 km and 50 km courses both feature iconic Great Wall sections, including the finest stretches of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall at Mutianyu, with routes passing Xiangshuihu Great Wall, overlooking the dramatic ridgelines of Jiankou, and traversing the tranquil valleys of Shentangyu. This marks a major course upgrade and the first time the race has been held in this Great Wall area, bringing runners into one of the most spectacular and historic sections of the Wall. Along the way, runners encounter the serene presence of the thousand-year-old Hongluo Temple, where ancient history and natural beauty converge, creating an unforgettable mountain running experience that blends endurance, heritage, and breathtaking scenery.
