Join Abersoch Triathlon 2024
The Abersoch Triathlon is hosted in the picturesque seaside town of Abersoch in North Wales. You have the option between Olympic and Sprint distances, both featuring exceptional routes that aim to both challenge and motivate you. This is why many people count this triathlon among their favourites.
Beginning with a sheltered bay swim in the sea, competitors will then move onto a closed, 20km bike lap for Sprint participants, and twice that for those doing the Olympic distance. The run involves navigating the unique combination of beach, trail and road terrains, all of which culminate in a quintessential beach finish on Abersoch beach for both distances.
Expect tremendous race support during the entire course and all the professional features you'd anticipate from a major triathlon event. As a bonus, the energetic ambiance is punctuated by music and a beach bar for your post-race celebrations.

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
Registration is between 5pm and 9pm at The Vaynol on Friday or 2 hours prior to each race at the beach (bottom of Lon Golff, near the beach cafe).
The start
The start is on Abersoch beach to the right of the middle slip ramp (bottom of Lon Golff / Golf Road). Race Safety briefing is provided via video 3 days prior to the race and is compulsory to watch.
Wetsuits
Wearing of wetsuits for the swim discipline will be mandatory and needs to cover your torso as a minimum
Drafting
This is a no drafting event.
Cut-off time
A cut off time will be in force at Transition 2 (bike to run): Any olympic distance cyclists arriving in transition from the bike after 12:00pm will be directed onto the sprint run route.
