Event Overview

World Athletics President, Sebastian Coe has invited runners from around the world to participate in the historic first, World Athletics Cross Country Championships Bathurst 21 Global Challenge.

One of the planet's greatest events, The World Cross Country Championships, is now open to the public. With participants from over 200 nations expected to take part, never has there been a more exciting opportunity for runners, walkers, and joggers to connect as part of the one Global Challenge.  Entrants can compete against others in their age groups, and get an official Global Challenge Ranking by their Age, Nation, Continent and the ENTIRE world; all with the chance to compete for their nation in the Global Challenge Finals. 

And every participant can collect an official World Athletics Cross Country Championships Global Challenge medal! That's right....a Global Challenge medal!

The event is a collaboration between World Athletics, The Bathurst Local Organising Committee, World Vision and Asics.
