The Marathon de Montpellier takes you on a sightseeing trip through some of the best neighbourhoods of the city and the metropolis. It starts and finishes at the Place de la Comedie and lets you enjoy from a completely new perspective some of the busiest tourist areas of Montpellier, Castelnau-le-Lez, Lattes, Pérols, Mauguio and Carnon municipalities. You will feel the history of the medieval streets and the beauty of the modern architecture delivered by some of the greatest architects. The Marathon in Montpellier has lively atmosphere aided by whole families who gather to enjoy the race and cheer the runners and multiple entertainment points along the course.

The Montpellier Marathon takes place on a certified distance of 42.195 kilometres, with a start and finish on the Place de la Comedie. The loop passes old and new neighbourhoods of Montpellier allowing runners to experience the best views of the city.

The goal of the Montpellier Athletic Mediterranean (MAM), the organizer of this event, in partnership with the city of Montpellier, wants to put the event among the top ten French marathons and to make it a popular and friendly running destination. The Marathon de Montpellier has many entertainment points on the course as well as a great variety of events in the village of sponsors at the Place de la Comedie.

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?

Where: At the starting village of the event When? The day before the event from 5pm to 8pm. The day before the event from 2pm to 6pm and on the day itself from 7am to 8am. How to get there? You will need to bring with you : Your registration confirmation with the e-ticket received by email the week before the event (please do not print your e-ticket unnecessarily, you can present it directly on your smartphone); -Your identity card; -Your medical certificate, or your licence

Can someone collect my race pack for me?

Yes, provided that the file of the competitor in question is complete and validated. You will need his or her identity card (or a copy) and his or her e-ticket.

How do I get to the race location?

All the information you need for the good progress of your race (time, place, parking etc.) will be communicated to you before the race through the official roadbook of the event.

As soon as you cross the finish line, we will take care of putting it around your neck ourselves, so that you can enjoy every second of your arrival as a SEMI-MARATHON FINISHER or MARATHON FINISHER.

Who can help me on race day?

The MONTPELLIER MARATHON Team is known for its good humor and its unfailing benevolence! The members of the TEAM, and only them (easily identifiable by an identical outfit) will be able to help you in case of problems on race day. Under no circumstances should you ask a spectator or any other outsider for directions, as this could lead to misinformation. And, even if you are hyper concentrated in your race, nothing prevents you by a small smile or a gesture to thank each voluntary member of the
