Maratona Internacional de Floripa is an annual road race organised in the city of Florianópolis in Brazil. It is a very special city in that it is located on an island. It has a very flat course totally at sea level, and it's perfect to reach personal record. In 2018 it was considered the fastest marathon in Brazil. In 2022 and 2023 over 14,000 runners took part in the race.
With a beautiful view of the ocean of north and south bay, Maratona de Florianópolis is already featured amongst the main marathons in the country.
Besides the marathon distance, it also has a half marathon (meia maratona Florianópolis) and a 5 km night run.
Don't forget that Maratona Internacional de Floripa is not the only thing you can do in this beautiful city. In the historic centre, you can find great examples of traditional architecture. One of those examples is the city market where you can find tropical fruit, local food and handcrafts from Brazil. And do not forget about the beach! After running Maratona de Florianópolis you can relax at one of the 42 beaches that this city has to offer.
