Join Trail da Raia
The RAIAR association (cultural association created in 2004), in collaboration with the MOCIDADE DE ALDEIA DO BISPO association and the mayor of ALDEIA DO BISPO, will hold the 6th Edition of the TRAIL DA RAIA on August 12, 2023. During this period, a great majority of the natives of the region will be present coming from France, Belgium, Luxembourg and other European countries for holidays. This is the occasion for them to participate to this Trail whose number of participants is growing at each Edition.
This mountain race between Portugal & Spain with the slogan «Running through the lands of the Sabugalese border» includes four races with the following distances:
43 km - 25 km - 15 km and 9 km.
The races were certified by ATRP (the Portuguese Trail Running Federation) and ITRA (International Trail Running Association) the 43 km and 25 km races is part of the ITRA National League.
With several hundred participants surrounded by their families at every stage of the path, TRAIL DA RAIA goes to another level by providing trails that are intended not only for already confirmed athletes but also for all friends of nature who want to practice sport individually or with their family.

When and where can I collect my BIB/race pack?
- Friday, August 11th at the Multipurpose Pavilion from 5pm to 8pm. - Saturday, August 12th, at the departure point from 7:00 am.
Obligatory equipment
- Dorsal placed in front and visible during the entirety of the race; - Mask, for use on departure, arrival and whenever there is close interaction with other athletes or with the race staff; - Container for drinking water or other liquids; - Operating mobile phone to contact the organization during the race, if necessary; - Thermal blanket ; - Whistle.
