Welcome to the second Smiling Coast Marathon. Welcome to the Gambia. It is one of two charity marathons in Gambia which was started in february 2019. The Smiling Coast Marathon will be started in Serrekunda, the bigest city of Gambia. It is close to Banjul and the airport.
We will start the race 2020 on a modified track not yet published. 2019 there was too much traffic on the coastal road.
Charity-Background: In Gambia we have familiar contacts and shipped the equipment to start an computer class. We already support the youth work of the FC Yama by shipping soccer equipment.

Finishers will receive a handcrafted wooden medal and a finisher shirt. The 3 fastest woman/men get a trophy and pricemoney (rates not yet fixed)

Destination is the Internatinal Airport of Banjul, The gambia (BJL). Local transport shall be organized by the marathon team, if you request this.
